Scott,

My husband and I wanted to take the time to thank you for the baseball lessons you provided Kyle over the past four months. We have seen incredible growth in his ability, not only as a competitor on the field, but also as a positive leader on and off the field.

We came to you in the beginning because my brother, who played baseball up through the semi-pro level, had told us horror stories about young athletes sustaining permanent injuries because they were not taught proper techniques, especially pitchers. When Kyle began to show strong promise as a pitcher, we wanted to make sure injury did not occur. You taught him that the power and strength of a pitcher’s arm came from the simple skill of long toss, not throwing 50 pitches as fast as you can like many people think. Kyle was able to improve his hitting not by simply swinging harder, but by overcoming negative thoughts and replacing them with positive ones when standing up at the plate and shifting that back foot when he swings. That is not to say there weren’t a few strikeouts this season, but you were able to teach him the mental skills to rethink the pitches he was thrown and what adjustments he needs to make next time up to bat. Not once did we see him throw a helmet or bat in frustration. He was able to regroup and focus very quickly if he made a mistake which was a huge hurdle for him to get over.

We want you to feel free to post this email on your website under feedback because we want other parents to know that private baseball lessons with you was worth every penny. Even though baseball camps provide good instruction, there is something more to be said for one on one instruction.

Scott, Kyle and I wish you the best of luck with your own baseball career and hope the upcoming season is a great one for you and your family. Please keep us posted on your schedule as Kyle would like to continue working with you. Best of Luck and thank you.
